As we welcome in the New Year, we set ourselves new ambitions, resolutions and intentions. We often find them so difficult to keep. The days are cold, the evenings dark and it isn’t easy to stay enthusiastic about that new diet or daily exercise routine.
Winter is a gift to us from nature. It’s a time to stay indoors, appreciate our warmth and light, and to reflect on where we are now and where we want to be. Afterall, the trees have shed their leaves and are resting, the grass isn’t growing, large animals are slowing down and smaller ones are in their burrows. Now is a time for coming in and nurturing ourselves.
Yoga is not about having the perfect body. It is about connecting with your Self, your essence, and remembering that you too deserve compassion and kindness.
Perhaps now is the right time to begin.
Remember that you too deserve compassion and kindness.
